Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Replenish production point of use inventory, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Provide customer service at the stores wicket, including completion of inventory transactions and resolving customer inquiries.
  • Manage incoming inventory from receiving, including transacting new material receipts, customer returns, and invoice receiving requests.
  • Run daily reports, create manufacturing orders, and perform order picking tasks.
  • Handle materials and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Receive Kanban material from suppliers and conduct stock/process audits and variance investigations.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and demonstrated knowledge of MRP.
  • Experience working with a perpetual computerized inventory management system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet physical demands, including prolonged standing, climbing ladders, and lifting 20kgs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Operations Management or APICS certification.
  • CPIM designation or working towards.
  • 2 years of experience in inventory control.
