Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking, and maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Replenish production point of use inventory, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at the stores wicket, including completing inventory transactions and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Manage incoming inventory from receiving, including transacting new material receipts, customer returns, and invoice receiving requests.
  • Run daily reports, create manufacturing orders, and perform order picking tasks.
  • Handle materials and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Receive Kanban material from suppliers and conduct stock/process audits and variance investigations.

Required Capabilities

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and demonstrated knowledge of MRP.
  • Experience working with a perpetual computerized inventory management system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to meet physical demands, including prolonged standing, climbing ladders, and carrying/lifting 20kgs.

Desired Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Operations Management or APICS certification.
  • CPIM designation or working towards.
  • 2 years of experience in inventory control.
