We are seeking an accomplished Senior Program Manager to serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader at Amazon. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that requires a proactive self-starter with impeccable execution, superb communication and program management skills, and the ability to operate comfortably in an ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Partnership: Provide direct support and act as a partner to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader, helping to drive and reinforce the strategy and vision for the team.
- Project Management: Manage the Team Leader's priorities, projects, and commitments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between the Federal Public Sector team and other key stakeholders across AWS, escalating issues and coordinating decision-making as needed.
- Special Initiatives: Lead special initiatives and cross-functional projects on behalf of the team, serving as a project manager and bringing together the right resources.
- Reporting and Communication: Develop presentations, reports, and other materials to communicate progress, surface challenges, and influence key decisions.
- Industry Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide the Team Leader with insights and recommendations.
- Culture and Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- 7+ years of delivering cross-functional projects experience.
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
