Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist patients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, transferring, and positioning.
- Companionship and Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
- Home Support: Assist patients with home support functions such as menu planning, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe patients' physical and mental status and report any concerns or problems to the case supervisor or facility charge nurse.
- PSW Certification: Must have a PSW certification from an accredited institution.
- Communication Skills: English communication required; bilingualism is an asset.
- Shift Work: Must be able to work shifts (day, evening, night).
- CPR Certificate: Must have a current CPR certificate.
- Police Check: Must have a recent (within the last 1 year) police check for the vulnerable sector.
- TB Test: Must have a negative TB test from within the last 1 year.
- Mobile Device and Internet: Must have a mobile device and access to the internet.
