We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team at 2871605 Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Automotive Mechanic Helper will assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in the repair and maintenance of vehicles. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist tradespersons and apprentices in the repair and maintenance of vehicles
  • Help with the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and tools
  • Clean machines and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Perform tasks such as filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired
  • Assist in the preparation of vehicles for painting, including masking and taping auto body surfaces
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, and reliability
Working Conditions:
  • Noisy and dusty work environment
  • Odours present in the work area
  • Standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
