Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Work closely with clients to identify and assess credit risks, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Credit Analysis and Decision-Making
- Conduct thorough credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of clients and make informed decisions about credit proposals.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of credit policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Deal Structuring and Negotiation
- Work with clients to structure deals that meet their financial needs and align with Scotiabank's risk appetite.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of credit agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of clients with moderate to high credit risk.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with other teams, including Credit Analysis and Risk Management, to ensure effective credit decision-making.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Education
- University degree in business, economics, or a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related field.
- Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and regulations.
