Course Assistant for Creative Industries

Job Overview
This position involves supporting two distinct courses within the Creative Industries program. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend lectures: 12.0 hours per term.
- Assist in grading assessments, including tests, lab sets, essays, and term papers: 17.0 hours per term.
- Proctor examinations, midterms, and quizzes: 12.0 hours per term.
- Collaborate with the Supervising Instructor and participate in mandatory training sessions: 4.0 hours per term.
- Attend employer orientation workshops and complete required employer training.
Total Estimated Hours of Work: 45.0 hours per term *
*Note: Actual hours may vary based on qualifications and compensation rates. Employees may work up to a maximum of 130 hours per semester or 390 hours per academic year. Employment is not guaranteed, and no pay or benefits will be provided when not assigned to a task.
Qualifications
- Previous performance evaluation as an Assistant at the University (if applicable).
- Must be enrolled in either the 1st year of a Master's program, 2nd year of a Master's program, or a PhD program.
- Preference will be given to Doctoral candidates, followed by Master's candidates.
- Relevant experience in Creative Industries is preferred.
Course Details
This position is for two courses:
- CRI Celebrity - 45 hours
- CRI 820 - Global Licensing - 45 hours
Candidates may apply for one or both courses, please specify your preference in the application.
Compensation
- Master's degree holders will receive $47.06 per hour.
- PhD holders will receive $50.82 per hour.
