Director of Business Partnerships

We are seeking a seasoned HR business partner to join our national People team at Yorkville University and Toronto Film School. As a Director, People - Business Partnering, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing people and culture strategies that align with our mission, values, and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with academic and business leaders to define, develop, and implement people and culture strategies that support our organizational objectives.
- Lead change management initiatives and communications to support leaders and employees in navigating organizational changes.
- Collaborate with leaders to understand their hiring needs, identify diverse talent, and develop strategies for recruitment and retention.
- Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, leveraging data from engagement surveys, exit interviews, and turnover reports.
- Ensure People practices in hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation support a diverse, inclusive, collaborative organizational culture and comply with regional and national labour laws and regulations.
- Coach and advise leaders on best practices in performance management that enable a high-performance and highly engaged workforce.
- Consultative, strategic, people-centric expertise of a seasoned HR business partner.
- Experience developing and implementing people and culture strategies to manage employee relations and talent development.
- Ability to lead change management initiatives, navigate barriers, and overcome objections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
