Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at the City of Toronto. As a key member of our infrastructure planning team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating complex capital works projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination
    • Develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of capital works projects.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and community groups, to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Project Management
    • Manage and lead project teams, ensuring effective teamwork, communication, and high standards of work quality.
    • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring expenditures are within approved limits.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, consultants, and contractors.
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Apply technical knowledge and expertise in municipal infrastructure planning and delivery, including engineering design policies and procedures.
    • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex project delivery issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary education in a professional discipline pertinent to municipal infrastructure planning and delivery.
    • Relevant project management experience, including experience with capital works projects.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
