Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of People and Culture. This key role will be responsible for leading our human resources and health & safety functions, driving strategic leadership, policy development, and operational direction.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee the execution of an integrated resource planning and talent management strategy to align with our strategic growth objectives.
- Safety and Compliance: Enhance and oversee our Empower safety strategy and program with actionable tactics aimed at continuous improvement and enhancement of the safety culture of the organization.
- Culture and Engagement: Foster a culture that encourages cooperation, collaboration, communication, and innovation across the organization.
- DEI Strategy: Lead and champion the development and implementation of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy, framework, and initiatives.
- Performance Management: Direct and oversee the development, monitoring, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), perform benchmark analysis, and develop action plans to positively impact the organization and deliver on results.
- Communication: Ensure the CEO is informed in a timely manner of all personnel and safety matters that may affect the operation of the business.
- Partnerships: Participate on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
- HRIS and Payroll: Lead the requirement scoping to implement and integrate an HRIS and payroll system as part of a new ERP implementation.
- Experience: 8+ years progressive experience in a senior Human Resources role.
- Education: Diploma in Human Resources Management or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Certifications: CHRP or equivalent required.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of Ontario employment law, Industrial/Labour Relations, Occupational Health & Safety requirements, compensation systems, organizational planning, and organizational development.
