The Opportunity

BRC Group - Tayco and BRC is seeking a skilled Wood Product Assembler to join our Assembly Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling and finishing high-quality office furniture, ensuring that every product meets our strict quality standards.

The Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling desks, credenzas, laterals, file cabinets, hutches, bookcases, storage units, and affixing hardware in accordance with our standard operating procedures. They will also ensure that all products meet our quality standards and consistently adhere to Health & Safety and BRC policies.

Requirements

We are looking for a passionate and experienced candidate who possesses the following skills and competencies:

  • Operate and maintain manual and automated tools and equipment in the production process.
  • Apply furniture glue to parts prior to assembling.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem-solving in daily work.
  • Ensure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to.
  • Multi-task and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Work well with others and build effective working relationships within the department and BRC.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Perform all work to BRC standards and ensure final product meets quality standards.
  • Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment.
  • Understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended.
