The Opportunity

BRC Group Tayco, a leading office furniture manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Wood Product Assembler to join our Assembly Team. If you're passionate about developing your skills in a high-performing work environment, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

The Job

As a Wood Product Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling a variety of products, including desks, credenzas, laterals, file cabinets, hutches, bookcases, and storage units. You will work closely with our team to ensure quality standards are met and adhere to our standard operating procedures using pneumatic guns and other tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain manual and automated tools and equipment in the production process.
  • Apply furniture glue to parts prior to assembling.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills in daily work.
  • Ensure daily and weekly production schedules are adhered to.
  • Multi-task and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Build effective working relationships within the department and BRC Group Tayco.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other physically demanding tasks as required.
  • Perform all work to BRC standards and ensure final products meet quality standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with manual and automated tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and muscular control.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended.
