The Opportunity

BRC Group Tayco, a leading office furniture manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Wood Product Assembler to join our Assembly Team. If you're passionate about developing your skills in a high-performing work environment, this role is ideal for you.

The Job

As a Wood Product Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling a variety of products, including desks, credenzas, and storage units, using pneumatic guns and other tools. You will ensure that all products meet our quality standards and adhere to our Health & Safety and BRC policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain manual and automated tools and equipment, including nail guns, hand drills, and table saws.
  • Apply furniture glue to parts prior to assembly.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure daily and weekly production schedules are met.
  • Multi-task and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Build effective working relationships within the department and BRC.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Perform all work to BRC standards and ensure final products meet quality standards.
  • Report product and equipment malfunctions to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good hand-eye coordination and muscular control.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and OHSA regulations.
  • Training in Health & Safety.
