YM Inc. is actively seeking a Fashion Purchasing Specialist. Our portfolio includes several well-known brands.

Since our inception, we have established a strong presence in the fashion industry, particularly in denim. By staying attuned to evolving trends, we have consistently provided our clientele with the latest styles, ensuring our status as a leading denim retailer.

Our core philosophy centers around empowering both our customers and employees to express their unique identities through fashion – we celebrate individuality.

We are currently in search of a Buyer for our corporate office.

Key Qualifications for Success:
  1. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of generating and maintaining various reports. Proficiency in Excel is essential for analyzing performance metrics and identifying trends.
  2. Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. A commitment to developing skills and mentoring team members in the buying and production processes.
  3. Fashion Enthusiasm: A deep-rooted passion for fashion, with a keen awareness of market trends and competitor benchmarks to ensure our product assortment reflects key trends and emerging items.
  4. Communication Proficiency: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be comfortable presenting information clearly and effectively in meetings and with vendors.
  5. Organizational Skills: Strong time management abilities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Diligently track production processes and prioritize deliveries.
Additional Requirements:
  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of buying experience in retail apparel is preferred.
  3. Strong negotiation skills are essential.
