About the Role

Cascades is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team in the Containerboard Packaging Group division. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process excellence and operational efficiency across our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance our continuous improvement program, ensuring alignment with Lean Production System principles
  • Leverage facility data to prioritize initiatives, define project requirements, scope, resources, team members, tasks, and project owners
  • Provide ongoing guidance, support, and coaching to Line Centric Team (LCT) members and facility team members, fostering operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with site management to identify improvement opportunities and support product development, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools, and train team members at all levels in methodologies like Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Set-up Reduction, Standard Work, Visual Management, and more
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the continuous improvement field within a manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in leading and coaching teams, with a focus on supporting team members' growth and development in operations, maintenance, and quality
  • Strong analytical skills and adept at navigating complex situations to find effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering buy-in and collaboration across the team
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing tasks, with a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, promoting a collaborative work environment
