About the Role

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Process Mapping

Collect and analyze data to identify areas for process improvement. Map and document processes to identify opportunities for optimization.

Process Improvement and Implementation

Independently identify process gaps and recommend improvements. Develop and implement process improvement plans to drive value for our customers.

Project Management and Collaboration

Manage and complete continuous improvement and steady-state engineering projects to achieve tangible improvements in key business metrics. Collaborate with operations management and other stakeholders to drive process improvements.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

Develop competency in a wide range of engineering methods, lean tools, and quality standards. Apply engineering methodologies and tools to improve distribution and/or transportation operations.

Communication and Reporting

Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against site objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive process improvements.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience

3+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.

Skills and Knowledge

Microsoft Office Suite skills, with emphasis on Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of data visualization tools and database programming. Basic knowledge of lean/TPS core tools and processes.
