Job Title: Dietary Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, staff, and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Ensure the correct diet is served to each resident according to the menu and resident preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the kitchen, dining areas, and storage spaces.
  • Assist with food preparation, including portioning out food and beverages, and operating dispensing machines.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sweeping and washing floors, and unpacking deliveries.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 education or equivalent required.
  • Food Handlers training certificate Level 1 or equivalent required.
  • Food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluent English required.
  • Able to carry out duties in a professional manner, working under minimum or no supervision, and in compliance with confidentiality of GLL and its residents.
Working Conditions:

The Dietary Aide will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work in a team environment.
