Salesforce Functional Analyst Job Description

As a key member of the Solution SFT team, the Salesforce Functional Analyst will play a vital role in the successful implementation and optimization of Salesforce solutions. This role requires a strong background in business analysis, functional analysis, and technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Participation: Participate in projects as the Salesforce expert, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Innovative Solutions: Define innovative solutions to improve the usage of Salesforce and support business requirements.
  • Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into clear system specifications for developers.
  • Test Strategy: Design test strategy and test plans based on requirements and participate in their execution.
  • Complex Problem-Solving: Analyze complex business problems to be solved with the Salesforce system, providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems or procedures that are cost-effective and meet requirements.
  • System Configuration: Configure systems settings and options, plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing, and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
  • Team Leadership: May lead cross-functional teams to address business system issues.
  • Business Requirements Identification: Able to identify key business requirements with minimal information by quickly identifying key players and asking the right questions.
  • Advisor Role: Acts as an advisor to 3rd party integrators.
  • Technical Capabilities: Understands all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to Salesforce release upgrades.
  • Communication: Communicates regularly with Salesforce designated super users to support them in their role and provide information and training on new features and functionality.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicates regularly with the Salesforce Business owner, IT solution team, and other stakeholders to ensure functionality meets field needs and to develop ongoing project plans.
  • System Expertise: Maintains at least high-level familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points.
  • Liaison Role: Serves as a key liaison with IT technical resources.
  • System Metrics: Maintains and communicates system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity.
