Salesforce Functional Analyst Job Description

As a key member of the Solution SFT team, the Salesforce Functional Analyst will play a vital role in the successful implementation and optimization of Salesforce solutions. This role requires a strong background in business analysis, functional analysis, and technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in projects as the Salesforce expert, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design innovative solutions to improve the usage of Salesforce and support business requirements, ensuring the Salesforce platform meets our business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into clear system specifications for developers, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved with Salesforce, providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems or procedures that are cost-effective and meet requirements.
  • Configure systems settings and options, plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing, and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
  • May lead cross-functional teams to address business system issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Able to identify key business requirements with minimal information by quickly identifying key players and asking the right questions.
  • Acts as an advisor to 3rd party integrators, providing guidance on Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities.
  • Communicates regularly with Salesforce designated super users to support them in their role and provide information and training on new features and functionality.
  • Communicates regularly with the Salesforce Business owner, IT solution team, and other stakeholders to ensure functionality meets field needs and to develop ongoing project plans.
  • Maintains at least high-level familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points.
  • Serves as a key liaison with IT technical resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Maintain and communicate system metrics to track trends in usage and data integrity.

This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to Salesforce release upgrades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, functional analysis, and technical analysis, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
