Currently, Belvika is in search of an Operations Planning Analyst to assess and strategize customer scheduling needs based on forecasted demand. This hands-on role will oversee the daily planning of materials essential for fulfilling customer demand plans. The Planning Analyst will be stationed at the Export facility and will initially cater to the daily requirements of a select group of clients. This position is ideally suited for a candidate with a robust background in customer service within the consumer-packaged goods sector, proficiency in various software applications (Microsoft Office, ERP), and a willingness to embrace new challenges in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate daily material needs in alignment with customer forecasted demand;
  • Establish production schedules for both short and long-term requirements, ensuring adherence to production plans;
  • Plan and schedule feedstock and packaging materials to support production timelines;
  • Provide ongoing status updates to the customer demand planner and internal teams through effective communication and system entries;
  • Evaluate the validity of schedules and participate in weekly customer conference calls with the demand planning team;
  • Forecast the implications of proposed changes on schedules;
  • Monitor production schedules to guarantee that all customer requirements are met within the specified production timelines;
  • Analyze and report on productivity related to various projects;
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analyses;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service or planning, preferably within a CPG environment;
  • Experience in procurement is advantageous;
  • A background in scheduling, forecasting, and planning is beneficial;
  • College diploma or higher;
  • Familiarity with distribution, inventory, and supply chain practices.

Essential Technical and Behavioral Competencies:

  • Prior experience with SAP or other ERP software systems is considered an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel;
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal abilities;
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks, short lead times, and adjust priorities professionally;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven;
  • Collaborative approach with all internal and external stakeholders;
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment.
