Cardiac Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Services department at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide direct patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to develop a comprehensive care plan, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on disease management and self-care.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, using verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and concise information exchange.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care course, or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrhythmia interpretation course plus one (1) year's recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate.
