Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Educational Program Assistant. The successful candidate will provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism. This is a 10-month position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support to students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism.
  • Assist with implementation and tracking of behavior targets, de-escalation strategies, and pro-social skills.
  • Use assistive technology to support student learning and independence.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism.
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution, including a formal practicum placement.
