Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

Caledonia Junior High is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Job Summary:

The Educational Program Assistant will provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing behavior management strategies, providing personal care, and using assistive technology to support student learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive student behavior
  • Provide personal care to students, including toileting and other medical-related procedures
  • Use assistive technology to support student learning
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Light lifting (up to 20 pounds)
  • Trained or willing to be trained in toileting, personal care, and use of assistive technology
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with Down's Syndrome and Autism
