About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meat: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.
  • Cut and Trim Meat: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Remove Bones and Weigh Meat: Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Price and Sell Meat Products: Price meat products and sell them to customers, providing excellent customer service.
  • Grind and Prepare Special Orders: Grind meats and prepare special orders for customers, meeting their specific needs.
Work Environment

As a Meat Cutter at Close To Home Grocery & Deli, you will work in a fast-paced supermarket environment, interacting with customers and colleagues. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with a combination of morning and afternoon shifts.
