Meat Cutter

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter - Retail to join our team at Close To Home Grocery & Deli. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
- Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Sell meats to customers
- Grind meats
- Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
- Prepare special orders
Work Environment: Our retail store is a fast-paced environment where you will be working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will also be required to use hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Organized and able to multitask
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
