Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive individual to fulfill the role of Bilingual Patient Reimbursement Specialist. This position entails managing specific projects or cases related to patient reimbursement and coordination within our organization. Collaborating closely with pharmacists, the Bilingual Patient Reimbursement Specialist will oversee patient cases and serve as the primary contact for assigned healthcare providers. This role also presents a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our reimbursement practices and to design workflows, with potential for career advancement as we expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all necessary actions to secure prescription drug coverage for patients.
  • Facilitate communication with insurance companies, medical offices, and healthcare professionals to optimize reimbursement solutions.
  • Handle documentation, submissions, and all related paperwork for insurance companies and public funding programs.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key clinics.
  • Coordinate pharmacy processes once funding is secured.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of public and private funding mechanisms.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential.
  • Previous experience in a reimbursement role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance sectors is an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience is required.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Professional and courteous telephone communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative thinking approach.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts covering standard business hours.
