About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team at CDW. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of products and services to support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide product requirement guidance to our Sales teams to ensure accurate and efficient purchasing processes.
  • Review, analyze, qualify, or reject purchase orders for all product lines to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain key vendor partner relationships to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Work with partners and Sales teams to make necessary changes to purchase orders and ensure fulfillment in a timely manner.
  • Continually update the status of aging purchase orders and follow up with partners for information on scheduled shipments.
  • Negotiate pricing for CDW to achieve the best pricing discount to purchase parts and products from distributors and manufacturers to fill customer orders.
  • Oversee and coordinate the flow of information from our partners to CDW.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience with AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with customers, coworkers, management, and executives.
  • Demonstrated skill in prioritizing multiple responsibilities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, including the ability to shift priorities.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma.
  • 1+ years of Purchasing experience.
  • Experience in technical purchasing.
  • IT knowledge.
