About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Director, Experience Design to join our team at Manulife. As a key member of our Experience Design team, you will be responsible for leading the development of human-centered design solutions that drive business results and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of designers and researchers to develop and implement design solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors, and use this knowledge to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our design practice.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, tools, and guidelines to promote consistency and efficiency in our design process.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in experience design, with a strong background in human-centered design principles and practices.
  • Proven track record of leading design teams and developing design solutions that drive business results.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and behaviors, and ability to use this knowledge to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Mural, and user testing software.
