Nursing Care Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Care Assistant to join our team at Spectrum Health Care. As a Nursing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with feeding and serving meal trays
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Supply and empty bed pans
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers
  • Collect specimens and administer first aid as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Launder clothing and household linens
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting an asset
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
