Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Nursing Care: Take vital signs, administer medications, and provide wound care, working closely with our nursing team to ensure seamless care.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and safe environment, performing light housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure our residents' living spaces are comfortable and hygienic.
  • Companionship and Social Interaction: Engage with residents, providing emotional support and companionship, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals.
  • Transportation and Mobility: Safely transport residents, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed, to ensure their mobility and accessibility needs are met.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a personal support worker or nursing care role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
