Operations Manager – Surgery Program
Permanent Full-Time Position
Reporting directly to the Clinical Program Director for Surgical Services, the Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing all operational elements of Perioperative Services. This includes the management of materials, supplies, performance dashboards, and comprehensive data analysis. The role also encompasses monitoring operating room efficiency metrics and addressing vendor-related concerns. The Operations Manager collaborates closely with surgeons and clinical teams to ensure alignment with Quality Based Procedure (QBP) funding allocations and to explore additional revenue avenues. A proactive approach and strong analytical skills are essential for addressing departmental needs effectively.
Key Qualifications:
A completed University degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance) from an accredited institution; an MBA is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare sector. At least three (3) years of recent experience demonstrating proficiency in financial management and inventory oversight within a healthcare environment.Additional Skills:
Candidates with equivalent recent training and experience may be considered; PMAC designation is preferred. Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and supply management information systems; familiarity with SAP is advantageous. Experience in analyzing financial performance and crafting business cases to drive organizational change. Proven project management capabilities with the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate diverse activities. Knowledge of Lean principles and a commitment to continuous improvement to enhance patient care delivery. Strong financial planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent research and organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions. Strong networking and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders to promote ongoing process improvement and achieve performance targets. Flexible and self-motivated, capable of managing competing priorities during periods of rapid change. High level of accountability with a proven ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, and consider future implications. Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience is preferred. Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.*Note: This position may require work at various sites within the organization.
