About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher Shop Assistant to join our team at Mr Halal Meat. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our butchers in preparing and cutting meat for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut and trim meats to customer specifications
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for sale
  • Remove bones from meat and cut poultry into parts
  • Weigh and price meat products for sale
  • Sell meats to customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Grind meats and prepare special displays of meats and poultry products
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, and reliability
