We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our team at HALAL MEAT FACTORY. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for sale. Your tasks will also include weighing meats, cutting poultry into parts, pricing meat products, and cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish.

Work Environment

Our work site environment includes odours and cold/refrigerated conditions. You will work in a butcher shop or meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Price meat products
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish
  • Sell meats to customers
  • Grind meats
  • Make special sausages
  • Slice cooked meats
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products

We specialize in Halal cuisine.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

You will have experience with band saw, manual cutting utensil, power grinder, salami mixer and cooker, sausage machine, and slicing machine.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

As a Butcher, you will be standing for extended periods and working in physically demanding conditions.
