Role Overview:

As the Lead Financial Systems Analyst on the Financial Systems & Analytics (FS&A) team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to both Finance and IT Teams in the design, development, and maintenance of our planning, reporting, and analytics systems. Your analytical insights will guide strategic decisions and promote a culture of data-driven innovation. You will enhance our planning and analytics capabilities, translating complex data into actionable business strategies. Reporting to the Senior Manager - FS&A, you will play a pivotal role in our financial systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Shape financial tools and processes:
    • Analyze and resolve intricate business challenges using analytics, leveraging industry expertise and Electronic Arts' internal data processes.
    • Collaborate across various business units and with IT teams, merging business requirements with system knowledge to brainstorm effective solutions.
  2. Foster a culture of data-driven decisions:
    • Champion data quality and consistency, partnering with business and IT teams to standardize data and cultivate a data-centric culture within Finance teams.
    • Identify data discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable and comprehensive solutions for informed decision-making.
  3. Drive innovation and enhancements:
    • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of planning systems, shaping the future of Electronic Arts' Connected Planning.
    • Engage in Proof of Concept initiatives to develop future tools for Finance teams.
  4. Support and enhance the skills of our user community:
    • Develop process documentation and training materials to align procedures and promote best practices.
    • Oversee support channels for daily support inquiries within Electronic Arts' Connected Planning Center of Excellence.
  5. System stewardship and governance:
    • Lead issue resolution and major project deliverables from conception to execution.
    • Facilitate processes for Electronic Arts' quarterly financial forecasts, ensuring adherence to policies and controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Data Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in finance, accounting, or business analytics.
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, SQL.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (capable of performing complex functions).
  • Familiarity with Oracle and Anaplan.
  • Experience in data modeling and analytics.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Python, or R.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
