Senior Financial Systems Analyst – FP&A

Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance applications?

In the role of Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Finance team and business stakeholders. Your focus will be on the development and upkeep of financial planning systems that enhance visibility into performance metrics, facilitate informed decision-making, and promote process efficiency while driving essential FP&A activities such as reporting, planning, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, adjustments, and daily operations of our financial planning system (IBM TM1).
  • Act as a liaison between Finance and Data, Analytics & Technology to ensure the effective collection, retrieval, accessibility, and utilization of financial data for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Generate monthly internal financial reports to compare actuals against budget, forecasts, and previous years, while investigating significant variances.
  • Translate financial data into meaningful business insights, identifying variances and trends to provide insightful, fact-based commentary (e.g., for monthly and quarterly business reviews).
  • Support overall Finance team objectives by assisting with ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in modifying and maintaining planning applications (e.g., Anaplan, OneStream, IBM TM1, Oracle EPM, Workday, Board, Vena, etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with advanced Excel/VBA and Microsoft tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, SSRS, etc.).
