Role Overview:

As the Lead Cashier Supervisor, you will oversee the daily activities at the front-end operations, ensuring a seamless experience for all customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Upholding the core values of Federated Co-operatives Limited while demonstrating exceptional leadership in customer service, addressing and resolving customer concerns promptly, and providing guidance to your team.
  • Coordinating the onboarding, training, and development of front-end supervisors, focusing on safety protocols, scheduling, and productivity monitoring to achieve operational excellence.
  • Conducting performance evaluations for team leaders and, when necessary, team members, as part of the performance management framework.
  • Ensuring compliance with all operational policies and procedures across various departments, including Grocery, Bakery, Produce, and Liquor, while adhering to safety standards and asset protection measures.
  • Managing inventory claims and reporting any discrepancies or concerns to the Grocery Manager in a timely manner.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess a friendly and proactive demeanor, with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should be adaptable, solution-oriented, and passionate about working with people. Key qualifications include:

  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, along with proficient computer skills.
  • Extensive experience in retail operations, customer service, point of sale systems, and merchandising, with a willingness to enhance your knowledge and obtain necessary certifications.
  • A trustworthy and results-driven attitude, striving for excellence in all tasks.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A commitment to building relationships and collaborating effectively to achieve shared goals, recognizing the value of diverse perspectives.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and kneeling as required.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Store Manager.
