As the Lead Cashier Supervisor, you will oversee the daily functions at the front-end of our retail operations,

guiding and mentoring team supervisors, providing essential administrative assistance, and ensuring exceptional service that makes every customer feel valued through:

  • Upholding the core values of Federated Co-operatives Limited while demonstrating leadership in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing and resolving customer issues promptly, managing specialized inquiries from team supervisors, and making informed recommendations.
  • Coordinating and supervising the onboarding, training, and professional development of team supervisors, with a strong focus on safety, scheduling, and productivity monitoring to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of team leaders and, when necessary, team members as part of the performance management framework.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures across all departments, including the Meat, Grocery, Bakery Deli, Produce, and Liquor sections, while adhering to safety standards and asset protection protocols.
  • Managing inventory and claims, and promptly reporting any discrepancies or concerns related to front-end operations to the Grocery Manager.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

You possess a friendly and engaging demeanor with a confident communication style, thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to changes, and have a solutions-oriented approach. You are passionate about working with people and are seeking a rewarding managerial/supervisory role:

  • A minimum of a Grade 12 certificate.
  • Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset, though not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, along with above-average computer proficiency.
  • Extensive experience in retail operations, customer service, point of sale systems, and merchandising, with a willingness to enhance your knowledge and obtain necessary certifications.
  • A reputation for honesty and trustworthiness, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A belief in fostering relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, recognizing the value of diverse perspectives in achieving common goals.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and kneel as required.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Store Manager.
