What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for supervising daily operations at the front - end, 

managing and coaching supervisors, providing administrative support and 

delivering legendary service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” through:

Upholding Legacy Coop Values and demonstrating leadership in providing excellent customer service experiences, investigating and timely resolving customer escalations, managing specialized inquiries from supervisors, and making recommendations. Co-ordinating and supervising the onboarding, training, and development of the supervisors with an emphasis on safety, scheduling, and monitoring productivity to meet daily operational standards.  Planning, completing, monitoring, and reviewing mainly team leaders and when needed team members’ performance as a part of the performance management process. Ensure that all staff throughout the Food Store, including the Meat Department, Grocery Department, Bakery Deli, Produce Department, and Liquor Store are in compliance with all policies and procedures, the collective agreement, safety standards, and asset protection, and follow recommended programs/guidelines prior to operation. Managing claims and inventory and timely reporting any related discrepancies/ concerns at the front end to the Grocery Manager.

Grade 12 certificate. Considered an asset to have prior supervisory experience (not mandate).  You have excellent communication, customer service skills, and above-average computer skills. You have extensive Food store/retail experience in the areas of daily business operations, customer service, point of sale operation, and merchandising and are willing to expand your knowledge and obtain the required certifications. You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do. You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends. You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives. You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel.
