We specialize in civil litigation, with a focus on real estate, estates, and corporate/commercial litigation. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients, and we are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our litigation department.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with a minimum of 20 years of experience working at a law firm that focuses on civil litigation. They will be responsible for providing visionary leadership to the litigation department, overseeing the performance of junior and intermediate associate lawyers, and mentoring and coaching junior and intermediate associates.

The Head of Litigation will also be responsible for overseeing the management of all litigation matters handled by the department, ensuring that cases are handled efficiently and effectively. They will serve as a subject matter expert on complex litigation matters, providing strategic guidance and support to junior and intermediate associates as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Court of Justice Act, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional results and providing exceptional client service.

Qualifications:

Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario20+ years of experience working at a law firm that focuses on civil litigationStrong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Court of Justice ActExcellent communication and leadership skills
