Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Operations Manager to join our team at Indigo Books & Music. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of activities to support strategic priorities and ensuring the efficient and effective movement of products throughout their life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Execution of Strategic Priorities: Develop and implement plans to achieve business objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
  • Product Flow Process Management: Oversee the execution of product flow processes, including receiving, stocking, and displaying products, to ensure timely and efficient delivery to customers.
  • Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation: Lead the execution of visual merchandising activities, including visual displays, signage, and acrylics, to create an engaging and welcoming shopping environment.
  • Markdown and Promotional Management: Develop and implement markdown and promotional strategies to drive sales and maximize revenue.
  • Changeover and Visual Assessment: Lead the execution of changeover and visual assessment action plans to ensure a seamless and efficient transition between product cycles.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Coach and develop team members to ensure operational excellence and the profitable movement of goods throughout their life cycle.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the customer, ensuring their needs and expectations are met through exceptional service and product offerings.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of employees and customers is a top priority, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 1-2 Years of Experience: In a customer service, merchandising, or operations role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, including financial management, inventory control, and supply chain optimization.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a flexible and agile approach to work.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
