Position Overview:

As a Production Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising compliant manufacturing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a skilled workforce. This position demands practical experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, robust inventory management capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. You will collaborate closely with the Departmental Director and take an active role in the production of specialized reagents and medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Oversight:
  1. Direct and manage all manufacturing activities (formulation, dispensing, packaging, and equipment operation) while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Establish and uphold best practices to improve efficiency and product integrity.
  3. Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous enhancements in manufacturing processes.
  • ERP and Inventory Management:
  1. Leverage ERP systems to effectively oversee production timelines, resource distribution, and inventory management.
  2. Develop strategies to reduce production bottlenecks and guarantee timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  3. Monitor stock levels and implement effective inventory control measures.
  • Performance Analytics:
  1. Create and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess manufacturing efficiency, quality, and overall productivity.
  2. Examine production data to pinpoint areas for improvement and initiate corrective measures.
  3. Provide regular updates on manufacturing performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Team Leadership:
  1. Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing production team.
  2. Encourage a culture of teamwork, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
  3. Conduct regular performance evaluations and address training requirements.
  • Quality Assurance:
  1. Partner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  2. Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and investigate any deviations from established quality protocols.
  • Client Engagement:
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  2. Collaborate with business development teams to align with client needs and expectations.
  3. Ensure a customer-centric approach in all manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally within diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or related sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and expertise in inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data for informed decision-making.
