Position Overview:
As a Production Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising compliant manufacturing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a skilled workforce. This position demands practical experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, robust inventory management capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. You will collaborate closely with the Departmental Director and take an active role in the production of specialized reagents and medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Oversight:
- Direct and manage all manufacturing activities (formulation, dispensing, packaging, and equipment operation) while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Establish and uphold best practices to improve efficiency and product integrity.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous enhancements in manufacturing processes.
- ERP and Inventory Management:
- Leverage ERP systems to effectively oversee production timelines, resource distribution, and inventory management.
- Develop strategies to reduce production bottlenecks and guarantee timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Monitor stock levels and implement effective inventory control measures.
- Performance Analytics:
- Create and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess manufacturing efficiency, quality, and overall productivity.
- Examine production data to pinpoint areas for improvement and initiate corrective measures.
- Provide regular updates on manufacturing performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership:
- Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing production team.
- Encourage a culture of teamwork, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address training requirements.
- Quality Assurance:
- Partner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and investigate any deviations from established quality protocols.
- Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with business development teams to align with client needs and expectations.
- Ensure a customer-centric approach in all manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally within diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or related sectors.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and expertise in inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data for informed decision-making.
