Position Overview
Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
The primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate and timely settlement and processing of all assigned transactions on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the settlement of US Stock Loan transactions while promptly addressing any trade discrepancies
- Reconcile cash and position discrepancies associated with settlements
- Collaborate effectively with teams across various business units in a dynamic environment
- Assist in managing workloads and organizing tasks efficiently
- Stay informed about multiple desks to provide support throughout the year
- Demonstrate proficiency in the products and systems necessary for daily operations (DTC, BPS, Excel, Outlook, Loanet)
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to mitigate operational risks
- Continuously support the Manager of US Securities Settlements with various ad hoc tasks and requirements
Qualifications for Success:
Essential Skills:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication abilities
- Capacity to work autonomously and resolve issues using knowledge and expertise
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications – Word, Outlook, Excel
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with internal trading, account, and settlement systems such as BPS, Loanet, Equilend Spire
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
