Settlements Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Settlements Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Settlements team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of settlement activities, including entering or confirming activity in various depositories, determining the location of required securities, and releasing securities as required.
Key Responsibilities- Execute settlement activities as directed by management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in capturing settlement activity in books and records.
- Perform administrative functions, including completing reconciliation activity, preparing and distributing daily reports, and reconciling cash and securities positions.
- Participate in training and cross-training as required, acquiring and maintaining a thorough knowledge of related settlement systems and operational protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service, adhering to Scotia Service Standards and Complaint Resolution Procedures.
- Strong knowledge of securities settlements and operating/settlement systems, including BTS, Impact, Clearance Pro, Escape, Arrow, Arrow Blotters, CDS, DTC, and FED.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
