Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Settlements Operations Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the specialized securities operations for the Settlements requirements of the Scotia Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute settlement activities as directed by management, including entering or confirming activity in various depositories, ensuring settlement by determining the location of required securities, and releasing as required.
  • Perform administrative functions, such as completing reconciliation activity in a timely and accurate manner, preparing and distributing daily reports, and reconciling cash and securities positions.
  • Participate in training and cross-training as required by management to acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of all related settlement systems and operational protocols.
  • Provide customer service consistent with Scotia Service Standards and Complaint Resolution Procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Securities Settlements and a strong grasp of principles for operating and settlement systems used by the unit, including BTS, Impact, Clearance Pro, Escape, Arrow, Arrow Blotters, CDS, DTC, and FED.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role and adapt to changing business needs.
