At Rogers Communications, we're seeking a skilled Broadcast Editor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our media production team, you'll be responsible for editing content for CityNews using the Grass Valley Edit System. Your expertise in non-linear editing and 5.1 audio will be essential in delivering high-quality content to our audience. You'll work closely with our team to execute field camera work, editing, and other areas of modern media production. If you have a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

* Edit content for CityNews using the Grass Valley Edit System
* Work with 5.1 audio
* Collaborate with the team to execute field camera work and editing
* Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a broadcast environment, preferably in a newsroom environment
* Experience in non-linear based editing
* Knowledge of Adobe Premiere
* Strong understanding of broadcast workflows and the ability to adapt to new workflows
* Strong technical skills
* Local news knowledge preferable
* Ability to work well in a high-stress environment
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Valid Driver's license required
