About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcasting Editor to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality content for our CityNews audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Non-linear editing of content for CityNews using the Grass Valley Edit System
  • Work with 5.1 audio and other advanced audio technologies
  • Collaborate with outside clients within the Rogers group of companies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a broadcast environment, preferably in a newsroom environment
  • Experience in non-linear based editing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and other editing software
  • Knowledge of 5.1 audio and broadcast workflows
  • Strong technical skills and ability to adapt to new workflows
  • Local news knowledge and understanding of broadcast industry trends
  • Ability to work well in high-stress environments and meet tight deadlines
  • Valid Driver's license required
