We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Our Place Society. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support services to individuals in need, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Client Support
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each client
- Provide one-on-one counseling and guidance to clients, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as laundry and meal preparation
- Program Development
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of our clients
- Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback from clients to inform program development
- Community Engagement
- Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance our services and support
- Participate in cross-agency working groups to advance the interests of our clients
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and program activities
- Assist with data collection and reporting to inform program evaluation and improvement
- Education and Training
- Diploma in a related human/social service field
- Experience
- Minimum of one year recent related experience
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
This is a full-time position, working three 12-hour shifts per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, providing support to clients in a variety of settings.
We offer a competitive salary range of $27.54 to $31.61 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
