Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Residence/Shelter Team Leader. The successful candidate will possess a Diploma in a related field, such as Community Social Services, with a focus on mental illness, addictions, and special needs. A minimum of two years of recent experience working with individuals with mental health and addiction issues, as well as office experience, is required.

A valid BC Driver's License and certificates in Food Safe, CPR, and First Aid are also necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and show initiative and creativity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, family members, and community contacts.
  • Develop and implement programs to support individuals with mental health and addiction issues.
  • Supervise and lead a team of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with community partners to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals in crisis.
Requirements
  • Diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum two years of recent experience working with individuals with mental health and addiction issues.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Certificates in Food Safe, CPR, and First Aid.
