About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Our Place Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
    • Portion and wrap foods for serving.
    • Package take-out food for customers.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
    • Scour pots and pans to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Inventory Management
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Environment
    • Urban area with public transportation available.
  • Work Conditions
    • Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
    • Physically demanding with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability
