About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a key member of our sales organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expansion in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Support: Provide strategic support to our sales team, partners, and customers to develop and execute growth initiatives. This includes preparing business plans, market analysis, pricing strategies, and forecasting.
  2. Offer Preparation: Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical and commercial value propositions that meet customer specifications and sales organization directives.
  3. Cost Definition: Define market price levels for proposed solutions and communicate with the sales organization.
  4. Risk Review: Participate in the risk review process and provide information to ensure compliance with ABB policy.
  5. Competitive Analysis: Analyze customer needs and competitor offers to identify opportunities for growth.
  6. Lost Proposals: Conduct lost opportunity analysis and recommend future actions to improve sales performance.
Requirements
  • Collegial/Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and business development.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 20% of time) for business development activities.
